It's always been one of my very favorite Joni songs.
Before I read the lyrics, I heard it as "the technical man
is busy", which still makes more sense to me. How can a
book be busy?
Yin and Yang,  mother earth to father sky, man to woman....
If I were going to pick a nit, plus and minus are attributes
of direct current (DC) electricity, but the bit about
shorting the fuse box with a penny applies to alternating current
(AC) i.e. household current.
