Wow wow, Kate!! That is so wonderful that you got to meet Fred and spend some time with him! Seeing him onstage at the Walecki benefit a few years ago, I instantly sensed what a sweet and special person he was.The caliber and quanity of artist turn-out both nights to perform at the benefit are a truw testament to him. I did get to meet him briefly at the "after-party" one night and was just bowled over by him. I asked him to sign the program for jmdl'er simon who had sent me his ticket to attend. Fred wrote the sweetest note to simon. I've heard that he is one of Joni's very dearest friends. Also, John Calimee on the list has struck up a friendship with him after buying some equipment from him and has posted a bit about him.
When Paz has been in L.A. it has always been a goal to get over to Westwood Music so they can chat. However, we usually think of it on Sunday when they are closed!
