Matt, we've had such fun with this one before...someone, rose i think, even
magnified a section of one of joni's painting where it looked like she'd
drawn a face...& we all tried to see just whose face it might be!!!! I think
the cartoon coaster was a drink coaster that must have had a cartoon on the
front, she drew the picture on the back of it (canada map & the guys face
twice)...re: constant- he says he's constant as the northern star, in other
words always there, steady, stable, etc...she tells him he's constant
alright...constantly in the darkness (clueless)...i love the line about
living in a box of paints...its one of my favorite of all her lines...the
woman who had a mouth like hers...some thought it meant that her mouth
looked like the man's...i think it could mean that she talks/sounds like him
(as in mouthing off...)

>>I have a question about "A Case of You" now...What exactly is the
significance of drawing a map of Canada "with your face sketched on it
twice." And besides that, what *is* a cartoon coaster? And what is meant
by "Constantly in the darkness, where's that at?"...Also, what is the
significance of meeting the woman who "had a mouth like yours"?>>
