I'm awaiting this record with baited breath. Not JUST because it's Bruce's first release of new music with the E-Streeters since 1984, not JUST because it's produced by Brendan O'Brien, who's done some incredible work with Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and many more (yes Joni, a GOOD producer DOES make a difference!), but most of all because the majority of the songs were written post 9-11 and will deal with those themes.
"My City Of Ruins" was one that fit (it was the song that kicked off the TV NYC benefit), but he already had that one in his pocket. Bruce is a writer I include in a small handful: Joni, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Andy Partridge, who can succeed in every level as composers (except commercially, but that's OK by me). Can't wait for this one...what a year it's been thus far for new music!! Bob NP: Pylon, "Feast On My Heart"
