My mom had three, very high spirited dogs - train them early because they can be stubborn, don't let them get away with anything becuse they are cute and puppies because they are very intelligent and once they get their way they do not relinquish - but they are wonderful dogs, will always have a fondness for doxies. My breed is Samoyeds, and right now my 9 week pup, Tenoch (from Y Tu Mama Tambien) is eating my jeans as I type this., alternating between chewing on me and chewing on my 10 year old Sam, Tomas (I have no idea why my siberian dogs have spanish names). Nice thing about being part owner of this apartment building is that I can have all the dogs and all the barking that I want. Tenoch has already been to three games at Comiskey Park, goes to work with Tommy and me daily, and learned very quickly about how to walk off leash on the sidewalk (I train all my dogs off lead, much faster that way, and they are pack animals after all). I am expecting tomorrow or before the weekend is over for his ears to come up - a very big day in the life of a Samoyed puppy - and sorry for boring everyone with my dogs, but thinking about doxies has me all in a canine mood. Tommy, Tenoch, and my grandson Gage are going to two baseball games in Chicago this weekend - three best dates that I will ever have again. Vince
