I remember your post of your time there awhile back and I just loved hearing
about it.  Cumberland has always been at the top of my list for the east
coast.

And I'm so jealous of suntanned Rose's beach weekend!  It's been so cool
here all year - at least for me.  I like it real hot.  The sea temperature
here varies between 58 and 70 degrees and rarely will go up to around 73-75.
When I was young with a high metabolism it didn't faze me, but as an adult,
even with a wetsuit, it's usually too chilled for me.  Our ocean around L.A.
is pretty dirty although some remediation has been done in recent years.
There are many places where one really should never go in here, but the
surfers do to catch the special swells.
