More football trivia: despite Germany's victory against USA yesterday, the former German World Cup winning captain, the legendary Franz Beckenbauer, was less than pleased with the team's performance. Excepting their superb goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, he came up with a marvellously bilious expression of his contempt:
