He's playing two nights at The Jazz Cafe on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th October http://www.jazzcafe.co.uk and here's a link to his October/November UK tour dates with box office phone numbers and ticket prices http://home.wanadoo.nl/hvandenberk/2002%20tourdates.htm I see that that they've just released a 19-track double CD in the Voiceprint Collectors' series - John Martyn Live in Milan 1979 http://home.wanadoo.nl/hvandenberk/rare/col02-01.htm - with live versions of the usual suspects - May You Never - Solid Air - Bless the Weather, etc plus a c18 minute version of 'Outside in' - and as a bonus track (recorded in Turin - May '79), the first release of his version of 'Stay'. According to this muffnote: "Stay was written in 1953 by Maurice Williams and became a classic single. Upon its release in 1960 on Al Silver's Herald label, it became a number 1 hit for Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs and has been a popular favorite for decades since, revived in 1987 with its prominent use in the movie Dirty dancing." Who sang it in Dirty Dancing? The film was way before my time :-) All the best PaulC
