to me, happiness is learning to love and accept yourself and then
honour yourself and what you've learned by living into that place of
being true to who you are and what you love and then finding those
places within which you can flourish.
two years ago, i did this very thing. and one of the ways i lived and
continue to live into what i love is by joining the jmdl. and just look
at how my life has opened up as a result. i have the finest of friends
from all over the world, more like family than i have ever known in my
entire life. i have learned and continue to learn more about joni and
her music and life than i dreamed possible. and then there's my Brei,
the love of my life.
two months after i joined the jmdl, i received a sweet email from
Brian, in response to a techie question/problem i had and then a gasp,
a realization, like a crack of lighting against the midnight sky...i
could talk with this person, this kindred spirit about everything and
anything and then some. and our stories and lives unfolded in the
presence of one other, and we just kept talking and continue to talk.
we continue to support one another's goals and dreams, to accept the
growth and awakening in one another. i look into the mirror and see his
face. we are one person. we are two together. we are for each other.

i have never known such peace. or happiness. or fulfillment. or joy.
or love. ive never loved anyone so much, and ive never been loved so
unconditionally, ever.
so yea, ive found happiness and it is constantly growing and it gets
better, still.
like Jann Arden sings, just be yourself. i believe that with all my
heart.
