You can see an earlier foto of it here as well as Madame Marie's booth which he mentions in his song "Sandy" one of my faves. http://nj.com/springsteen/landmark/ My friends Gail & Pete lived in Asbury Park for a short while back in 1970, so I would go there to visit them. My parents would take me there as a child. I like you however made Seaside Heights my hangout. My parents had to run my uncle's luncheonette in Ortley Beach, (next beach over) on Rt 35 a block away from the Surf Club. It was the summer of '69, the best time of my life! Ah, that carnival life forever. I worked at the pizza stands on the boards too ;0) Jim & I have been rediscovering Point Pleasant. The Tiki Bar and Jenks LMAO. However I must admit that Asbury Park was the most affluent of the shore communities with all it's beautiful historical buildings. It's my fear that they are going to demolish these landmarks which they call "eye sores" to make way for condominiums. They are in serious danger. What does Seaside have to offer with the exception of the Merry Go Rounds? Looking forward to hearing the new song Kate & Jeff! It won't be long now. Maybe we can make a turn off on Exit 82 to "Seaside" and I'll buy ya's a drink, for old times sake ;0) rose NP: Sheryl Crow, Soak up the Sun
