I like Jimmy Buffet the person a lot more than I like Jimmy Buffet the
performer, but I can't for the life of me see what Joni's influence could
have been.
Speaking of people who claim to have been influenced by Joni, last weekend on
Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update segment, Tina Fay said something like,
"Note to Alanis Morrisette: Not everything you write in your diary is song
material." Ouch!
