Just a simple recommendation: I've been meaning to buy this for weeks, and finally got around to it today. Wonderful album, "Night On My Side", it's already got under my skin after only two listens. It's very varied in mood and volume, nothing is overstated, her voice has an effortless presence, even though it's not the most anything-in-particular voice I've ever heard. She doesn't sound much like anyone, though there are shades of one singer, and can I dredge up from my memory banks who it is?? She's got the Ingredient X I look for, and is worthy of our attention.
The new Bowie, which I also purchased today, really is good, and finally lives up to the "best since Scary Monsters" tag that has unfailingly been appended to every album he's made since he got Tin Machine out of his system. That's all folks, Azeem
