I was there this evening, and it was a superb line-up: Lewis Taylor, who is a stunning singer and songwriter (imagine a slightly nerdy looking white guy from North London who just happens to sound like Marvin Gaye); Antonio Forcione (from Italy), who is one of the best guitarists I've EVER seen, and that includes Pat Metheny, Martin Taylor, Kevin Eubanks and Stanley Jordan; Modeste Hugues, a guitar sorcerer from Madagascar; Pascal Danae, a red hot singer and guitarist from Haiti; KT Tunstall, a terrific young singer-songwriter from somewhere north of the border (and I mean Scottish, not Watford Gap); Sonna, a prodigiously talented young R&B-type singer; and Earl Okin, a venerable singer, guitarist and raconteur who plays the finest mouth trumpet anywhere.
