I just heard from Jimmy's Ed. Here are some of the post-op things Ed had to
say:
"just getting home from the hospital. jimmy made it through fine, although
he is in a great deal of pain. they were able to remove the gall bladder
without cutting him, but had to make a small incision to remove his appendix.
"the surgeon was amazed that jimmy has not been hurting for the last few
weeks.
"he will probably be in there for a couple of days, as the doctor wants to
keep him on an antibiotic drip. let's all hope he mends enough to travel."
Back to me again . . .
I am sure our prayers, etc. have helped thus far. (I don't know about the
rest of you, but I have been in my circa-1969 Dionne Warwick drag since this
afternoon singing "I Say a Little Prayer for You." Hey, whatever works . . .)
Now we need to do whatever we can to get Jimmy back on his skates and off to
Jonifest so we can all give him the hugs he needs for a full recovery.
We love you, pal. Forever and ever you'll stay in our hearts.
Now . . . HEAL!!!
