Hi Mike, I have this annoying writing device of knocking down "straw men". It sounds like I'm rebutting something you said when I'm really trying to argue with myself! I can't help it- it's the way I write. I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth, although I took your post as a springboard for arguing 'out loud' so to speak about others perceptions of Lynch.
Gees, it sounds kinda psychotic doesn't it? It's that pretentious thang that some people (many people?) dislike. Sorry. If I have to tell the truth, David Lynch WILL probably get my money next time.
