What a coincidence. In my bid to update my tastes of music, I was at the record store the other day, hunting, searching for something new. Heard a tune that really caught my ear. Asked who it was playing. They didn't know. Investigation revealed it was John Mayer. The salesboy said "we have two copies in here somewhere." After an hour of searching, he gave up. Thus, I gave up. Believe it or not, found it at Wal-Mart. Not a bad cd at all. Above average.
Mack ...last night the whole fam damily went to see John Mayer at Furman U. It was an outstanding show, he stated that his tour was winding down and he was ready to pull out some stops. Played a couple of new songs, including his encore called "Something's Missing", that he wrote about a year ago. He spoke abou 9/11 before he played it and gave some moving comments, then in his guitar solo incorporated bits from "Happy Birthday", "Auld Lang Syne", and "Amazing Grace", the latter of which took me right back to the Full Moon performance space when our own amazing Christina stopped me in my tracks with her angelic acapella version... > > Bob > > NP: Whiskeytown, "Losering"
