During the Cuban missile crisis in October 1962, President Kennedy had two messages from Kruschev, one offering a solution, one message bellicose. JFK chose to respond to the communication which offered a solution, and the missile crisis ended.
Iraq has offered a solution - inspections without limits. The Bush administration has already scoffed. Not one life should be lost until we have taken the Iraqi offer as JFK chose to respond to Kruschev's hopeful letter - go with it, for in that we may well have the solution we seek - unless the administration has the goal of going to war. This is a moment of truth and I pray our nation acts with wisdom. Vince
