Kasey, it's 'about' the best music of the last 30+ years! If you don't have any of her work, start to pick up some of her discs. Maybe start with Blue or Court & Spark, those will give you an idea of her genius and gift. Or, if your friend hasn't done so already, get them to loan you what they have. Most of us Joniphiles are MORE than happy to share our recordings if we can gain a new convert! ;~) Sometimes her work is not easily absorbed, so don't be afraid if you don't "get" or even "like" something on first listen. Just hang in there, and in the years to come you will be grateful that you did.
