There's a wee bit of Canadian content in Matt Dillon's feature directorial
debut, City Of Ghosts.

While the credits role at the end of the movie, you can hear Joni
Mitchell's Both Sides Now being sung -- in Khmer.

Turns out the band is none other than Dengue Fever, who hail from Los Angeles.

"The only Khmer in that group is the lead singer, Nimol. She's a wonderful,
charismatic girl," Dillon told The Sun yesterday.

"They're from California mostly and the guys in the band are great guys.
They shared the same love of Cambodia that I did. And then I thought,
'Well, it would be great to get them to do something,' and I said, 'Well,
what else are you guys doing? Any interesting covers?' They say, 'What do
you think of Both Sides Now?' And I said, 'If you do Both Sides Now that's
got a very good chance of ending (the movie). And I thought it was the most
beautiful thing I'd ever heard."
