<< 4. Christine Collister - ANYTHING! It was a beautiful and life-enriching experience, as always, and I'll probably say a bit more about it in due course. However, it's late, so I'll keep this short and JC: I've almost certainly mentioned this before, but Christine has sung Sex Kills in concert before, though it hasn't appeared on record to my knowledge. It was at the same gig where she delivered a storming rendition of Steely Dan's Black Friday. I've never heard her sing either song again. Anyway, somewhere out there somebody may have a tape of that show, which if memory serves was at the Purcell Room. Please, anyone?? I'd love to hear Christine tackle The Silky Veils of Ardor. Whoever suggested Bjork doing Jungle Line - top idea! What about Mary Coughlan doing The Magdalene Laundries? It's partly a conceptual link, as she's recorded a different song by the same title; but I also think the song would suit her, and being Irish herself and an outspoken supporter of women's rights and critic of the evils perpetrated by the Catholic Church in her country, she'd be singing it from the gut.
