Sir Paul McCartney's band between The Quarrymen and Wings? I recall that
name, vaguely. They only lasted a short while. About 6 years? Some people
have told me they were 'good' but I don't want to spend the money on a whole
album if I just like one or two songs. Are any of the albums good all the
way through? Are any of the studio albums worth buying or should I just get
the hits package? If I were to, someday, consider buying one Beatles album,
to test them out, what one title do you suggest?

Brian Blades' brother, who did a fine job on Emmylou Harris' "Spyboy" video
is Rueben Blades. I read on the Internet that he was also in movies and
they named a sandwich after him.

I'd play the "Spyboy" video tonight but I'm catching up with an old friend
of the family, James Taylor. I bought the new one, "October Road". I was
surprised to find that he wrote it all in blank verse- JT's first collection
without a single rhyme anywhere. Imagine how hard it must have been for
him! Now he can truly claim to "have grown as an artist".

Unless I'm lying about all this.......

Lama
now playing: "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, No, No, No, Now Baby,
(No, You Know, No.)" as performed by James Taylor. And lo, an angel of the
Lord appeared unto record buyers and said, "Behold, for I bring you tidings
of Great Joy which shall be known to all music fans of a certain age and
temperament. For released this month, on Columbia-Sony, is 'October Road'".

And the Lord was chillin' at the crib with his Son on the 7th day, and He
said, [Whoa! This is so cool! I can't wait to play this for Miles, and
Laura and Jimi and Janis. I must have James up to the House, One Fine
Day.]"
