I didn't catch the origin of this thread, but when I see reference to 'slow dancing/first times' it brought to mind the 7-8th grade dance parties in basement rec rooms, playing twister and spin the bottle....
But the slow songs I recall that provided the soundtracks for early hugs.. 'Soldier Boy' 'Be my Boy' (The Paris Sisters) 'This is Dedicated (to the one I love) 'Are you Ready' (Barbara Mason) 'I'm So Proud' (Curtis Mayfield) dating myself, no doubt... anybody ever actually dance 'the mashed potato'? I hear there's a new version out on the west coast, with garlic and EVOO. Chucke
