She's getting a lot of attention. I've seen her on tv and listened to some of her cd at the record store and found it so bland I didn't buy it. Sounded like jazz with no life to it to me. Her father is Ravi Shankar. According to what I've read he wasn't part of her life growing up (and perhaps not even now). Too bad. I think some of his influence on her music would make it more interesting. It would certainly be unique. Or so I imagine anyway. Debra Shea
