It's hard not to feel priviliged spending time and singing with two JMDL'ers who are equally nuts about the music - and play and sing it so well (yes YOU, Ross!).

I got pretty high from it myself! :-) I fell asleep in the car on the way back though, as Les was playing some very relaxing music on the stereo... It seems like *I've* been sourrounded by talent and meeting luck everywhere ever since I returned from JoniFest. Lastly, I've met a bass-player who plays Jaco Pastorius (only nearly as well as you, Chris :-) and who wants to form a whole band with me mainly doing songs from the four albums Jaco's played on (or are there more?). He proposed doing it just with a percussionist to gard the acoustic sound (and because it's hard to make money on playing Joni here (mentally retarded people! Musically anyway...)). We don't know if it might sound too sparse, though. I'd like to hear what you guys think of the idea? The bass-player also talked to a guitarist about doing a more broad selection of female singers cover band still doing Joni along with Jonatha Brooke and Sarah McLachlan. Any suggestions from you listers are more than welcome. These guys are REALLY good musiciens having both played professionally for several years and are open to moving abroad. For those of you who know the musical environment in NYC and/or knows someone who would book us for gigs overthere, I'd be happy to hear from you. We'll have a demo done within shortly. The BEST of it all was almost that THE BASS-PLAYER WANTS TO ATTEND JONIFEST NEXT YEAR!! When he said that he'd like to do this I jumped at least two meters off the floor! And I didn't even ask him (nor begged) about it! This guy is surely sent from heaven (or maybe I just sounded a bit eager telling him about the fest..?). Lots of thoughts from Denmark (that's turning too damn cold!), Christina
