<< Buy This Box or We'll Shoot This Dog: The Best of the National Lampoon Radio Hour. Other (JC) Parodies on the collection include: Methadone Maintenance Man (James Taylor Parody) Southern California Brings Me Down (Neil Young Parody) >> National Lampoon isn't as much of an institution here as it is over there; however, I do remember enjoying one called "Stevie Nicks - Isn't She A Fox?", a very accurate skit on her ethereal warbling style and the impenetrability of her lyrics. There was also a John Lennon one which was very difficult to play on the radio owing to the ripe language. A modern Joni parody might be rather different to "You put me through hell". I reckon it would be more along the lines of "I'm a misunderstood genius and everyone else makes rubbish music." Only a bit more, you know, funny... Where are the list parody experts?? Azeem in London NP: Suzanne Vega - 99.9F - wonderful title song from her best album, even if Joni doesn't rate her... PS Welcome to the list Sarah, good to see another Brit here!
