Hi Walt, glad to see someone else spends far too much time thinking about lyrics!!
I have to say the 1st time I heard The Jungle Line I thought it was Jean Jacques Rousseau she was referring to, putting JJ Rousseau in the context of Joni, i.e. author of Reveries of a Solitary Walker etc, I did study him in my younger years and so put two and two together and most probably got 5! However reading the glossary on the jmdl web page the description of the artist Rousseau also seems to perfectly fit the song. who knows? maybe she was just being ultra clever and its' meaning can be ambiguous and it can be either Rousseau!! or maybe we just have far too much time on our hands.... and actually I don't even like the song so why am I even bothering writing about it!!! must get back to my own little analytical world, sarah ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get a speedy connection with MSN Broadband.
