"And naked in the roses"

I was also thinking about this line the other day, I was wondering if the art director for "American Beauty" was a Joni fan, in reference to the infamous naked girl covered in falling rose petal shot that is played several times in the movie. Sorry for those of you who haven't seen the movie, but I feel SOMEONE must've been humming "The Gallery" when they created this scene. Anyone remember it??
