Thanks very much, Jerry.  You're right.  It's a hot issue, like
 race.  It's incendiary.  I was unsure if I could post about it
 without throwing gasoline on the topic.  This uncertainty was
 especially acute 'cause one of the rules seems to be I
 *shouldn't* talk about it.
