Randy Sharp was also the president of the board of the National Academy of Songwriters during the time when Joni won their award. He is still on the board of the (now merged) NAS/Songwriters Guild of America. He conducts many songwriting workshop all across the U.S. A few years back a songwriter friend tried to get me to come to the regularly scheduled ones here in Hollywood. Argh.
