As I listen to Travelogue, I notice more and more that Joni is in fine voice for swingin'! Be Cool, Flat Tires, God Must Be A Boogie Man, these all come across so well and her vocal energy seems heightened, and not just because of the up-tempo-ness of these compositions. It makes me wish she'd included Moon at the Window...she is at her prime for this stuff! I'd like to hear her do more work along the lines of her recording with the Kyle Eastward group's Trouble Man. Maybe her next outing could be a set of originals with a jazz combo. She really brings something to that genre. Ken
