Some years ago An  artist in Ottawa tried to get her sculpture "The
Lovers"
displayed without success. It was two lovers in an embrace sitting on
the end
of a park bench, life size. I guess it wasn't abstract enough for the
local  art elite
She eventually resorted to guerrilla tactics and just left it on the
side of a street.
I don't remember what happened after that.
