And what the hell is wrong with sending good cheer to folks in the military away from their families at Christmas? Why don't we just treat them like pariah as we did the Vietnam vets? That was very helpful to them. You ever spent any time talking to someone who did a combat tour in Nam. Well, one of my best friends did. You know why, because he was black and got picked up for pot and loitering in SanFrancisco. His choice was Viet Nam or jail. He was 19. And if you were, young, strong and black, that's where the government sent you. And he was treated like shit upon return and he's never gotten over it. Purple heart. Bronze star. Silver star. Get a clue.
