I forgot to include this in my last post, I heard a fantastic jazz version of "River" that was done by a singer named Kenny Lattimore. He sings it the way I feel Joni wrote it; with the melancholy and longing of someone who realizes they've lost a good love. I'm not sure if Peter White is also playing guitar on this cut, but I know there is another accomplished jazz artist who shares the bill with Kenny. It is very well done and well interpreted. Kenny Lattimore is a very wonderful singer who reminds me a bit of our Bryan Thomas who is also fantastic!
