The Beatles had Indian music on the ST to their movie "Help!"
in 1965 (American LP version). Then they did more on Revolver
and Sgt Pepper in '66 & '67. They have a break in 1963's
"I Call Your Name" that is a ska or reggae beat they had heard
in England. Harry Belifone did "The Banana Boat Song" in the early
'60's (carribean). "Lemon Tree" Trini Lopez. "The Girl From Ipanema"
1963??  Carmen Maranda and Josephine Baker in the 30's.
And don't forget Charro!
