This is true, Andrew...HOSL is SUCH a visual record, perhaps more so than most of her others, but then again Hejira probably is more visual. Another film that really compares to HOSL for me is a somewhat obscure film with Burt Lancaster called "The Swimmer", maybe because it recalls the pool photos.
