This is true, Andrew...HOSL is SUCH a visual record, perhaps more so than most of her 
others, but then again Hejira probably is more visual.

Another film that really compares to HOSL for me is a somewhat obscure film with Burt 
Lancaster called "The Swimmer", maybe because it recalls the pool photos. And if 
you're looking for good films about the false happiness of suburban America, "Far From 
Heaven" is a new one that is also very powerful.
