LOL Lucy, that made my day. Brilliant! LOL I've enjoyed reading all you insiders' brushes with the Royals. A family friend from England used to get invited to parties at Buckingham Palace back in the late 60s. She said all guests had to sign a confidentiality statement each time that they wouldn't talk about what went on inside during their visit. And she said there were many wild times going on inside ;-) She also said that everyone thought Lord Porchester (?) was indeed the real father of Andrew and Edward.
I met Fergie in 1994 at a charity event. She came right over to me and introduced herself even though I was nobody. She was very natural and I was very impressed with her. She was nothing like the way the tabloids portrayed her at the time. Is it true that it is a big deal in England to have an ancestor incarcerated in the Tower? My mother visited there a few years back and asked the docent to look up her family name and he was very impressed that it was connected with a band of rebel outlaws who hid out in Wales and who were eventually executed in the Tower!
