Every time. I never forget to say thank you to any one
that provides a service. I try to engage some form of
small conversation with them. I know the janitorial staff
at work by name, and their spouses, and kids. I look at it
this way, we are all people, with lives, what you do isn't
who you are. I've made a lot of good friends this way. But
by the same token, how much you earn should not influence
what type of service you give. I've mentioned that my company
is laying off, my partner and I are worried, however that doesn't
change how I treat others. Unless of course you ask my partner,
who is really sick of hearing me say, do we really need that? :)

Meanwhile, we can't understand why people who make $5.15 an hour don't
pleasantly provide good customer service. Yet when was the last time
you made eye contact and real conversation with the person bagging your
groceries or cleaning your office after hours?
