I've been on this list (mostly the joni-only) for three or four or maybe even five years, and haven't noticed things change much at all. Either I'm not very observant, or the changes haven't been meaningful to me.
I'm a longtime member of another list which is quite active and is definitely a tight-knit little community; and occasionally there is concern that the list is dying, membership is dwindling, etc. List life is cyclical; it ebbs and flows; it gets busy, it gets quiet, it gets fascinating, it gets trivial. Just like real life, just like marriage -- you have to hang in when there doesn't seem like there's much to hang in for, and the good stuff will come around again. Kate http://xoetc.antville.org
