I enjoyed the Grammies this year as well. I liked alot of the
performances...it was really cool to see Simon & Garfunkel kick it off and
yes I never get tired of hearing "Sweet Baby James"(brought back memories
of the Fox theater a couple of years ago)...I was glad to see John Mayer
and India Arie win some awards. Last time I saw John Mayer he was backing
up Michelle Malone at Eddie's Attic a couple of years ago(and I know he's
not 16...I think he was just saying he felt 16 at that moment). I can't
stand Faith Hill-would rather have listened to Martina McBride sing...I
think she has an amazing voice. Enjoyed the Clash tribute "London Calling"
I'm surprised Norah Jones swept as many awards as she did. I like her
album but I don't think it should have won album of the year...in fact I
felt that it was somewhat lacking. She cracked me up when she said she was
freaking out, being on stage with Aretha and Bonnie Raitt. I thought it
was interesting too that she never mentioned her father ever.
NP: Tori Amos "Scarlet's Walk" (I'm really digging this album- though I'm
not sure what to do with the plastic frog/toad?)
