Hello gang- Hope all is well in the community. I have just gotten back online after my trip to Fla. (and I am 400 emails behind on the list). It was a great journey. I went over to help my friend singer/songwriter, Zachary Richard (check out one of my top ten records of all times Cap Enrage' at zacharyrichard.com) with his gig at Fiesta Tropical, who was accompanied by on stage Freddy Coella (new guitarist in Dylan's band starting April 14), multi instrumentalist and producer, and Kenny Edwards (from Karla Bonoff's band and Brindle) who was so amazing and a wonderful person to hang with and talk about all facets of the biz and life. It was a great set and it was so warm and wonderful to be by the sea and hot weather. Pearl and Steve stepped up to the plate and responded to my plea for more company and they were so wonderful to (Come Pick Me Up....) and we went out to dinner the first night and then they came to the show and we went to their house (very close by where I was staying at the lovely Roof Top Hotel on the beach) that is SO beautiful that I found myself wandering around long after the tour was over just checking out stuff I missed. I think they should host a So. Fla. Fest there soon, but I digress. We had some nice cocktails and watched the grammys and cheered Norah and occasionally Bruuuuuce. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for a visit that I will never forget. I am sure their house is gonna be in House Beautiful or Arch. Digest someday. They took me to a great place called Giorgio's on Ocean Hwy. And had a stupendous meal (and we all know how jaded I am living in the heart of cuisine here in New Orleans). I am so sorry I am late posting but New Orleans is under siege at the moment with something called Gras (and it's not even Tuesday yet) and I am out of my mind busy. I will be at a hotel from tomorrow night thru Lundi Gras (Monday for those of you that are blonde or challanged in alternate language) then I come home and pack to go have another really mini JoniFest in Tahoe with Julius till the 9th of March. I will be taking my puter and try to check in but if I don't, Happy Carnival to all and hope to see and talk to you all soon. My very best to you all.
