I may have mentioned this before, but perhaps I wrote it offline to someone. Or maybe it isn't relevant. I bought the Norah jones cd because Joni said she liked her in the December W magazine article. This seems germane to me as I figure there has to be something there. Did anyone else read the article or remember this? It's in the JMDL library.
My favorite pitiful grammies moment was when the lead singer of Limp Bizcit, Fred Durst (I can't believe I know his name) said " I hope we are all in AGREENESS" about this war thing or being against the war. I cannot stand it when entertainers make political statements on awards shows. Why would anyone care about what this idiot had to say? He wasn't even accepting an award but presenting one. But he actually said "agreeness" instead of "agreement". I was on the phone with my friend, Rob, from TX, and we just howled. Not only is he so arrogant and self righteous, but stupid, and I would bet a year's salary he doesn't know one thing about the issues. Did Sheryl Crow actually want to look like a hooker? And with her big diamond peace sign, I thought I would puke. Shallow. Please, don't take from this that I am pro war or take this as any kind of a political statement. It is not. I would never post any of my feelings about the pending war in this forum. These people just irk me. Andrea
