Now has Joni ever appeared in a film, you know, artist singing
in the background before she became famous, that sort of thing, I like
watching old TV series and Films when I know there is an early appearence by
someone who is now famous.
I have the poster from my local cinema, cost me 30p, for James
Taylors film appearence "Two Lane Blacktop" which I believe is the title of a
painting by Edward Hopper, probably my favourite artist by far," Night Hawks"
also became a film, and I believe "House Beside a Railroad" was the
inspiration for the Bates house in Hitchcocks film "Psycho."
Back to the point, Lulu sang and appeared in "To Sir With Love"
I know you love it !! Paul Simon turned up in a few films ?? Bob Dylan and
Kris Kristoferson turned up in "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid" ?? Garfunkel
who has a new album out, has done quite a few films. Someone on the radio
said liking Paul Simon is now not cool, who comes up with this IN or Out
nonsense.
A friend of mine saw Paul when she was at Teacher Training
college in Chester, he was doing the University circuit and wrote a lot of
his early work here, "Homeward Bound" was written while he waited for a train
in Darlington? A lot of American artists seemed to have hitch-hiked around
Europe with their guitars in the 60s and 70s, maybe they still do, back then
we had the draft dodgers too.
Did I read something here about someone making a film about
Joni,s life??
