She just seems to go that extra distance in the descriptiveness of her lyrics. Like instead of saying "Send me a picture then, and I'll paint the colours of your autumn 'til we meet again", it's "the pyrotechnic explosions of your autumn. It creates a much more vivid picture in the mind. One of my favourite of Joni's lyrics.
