I'm writing once again from the Asheville Public Library...Just a couple of more days and everything will be completely done! We are about halfway through the mixing process and I am honestly blown away by how wonderful everything is sounding! The musicians who have lent their talents to this project are truly the finest I have ever heard.
Just yesterday Jen Hammell(formerly of Texas Celtic band Clandestine) came and put down some gorgeous, incredibly breathtaking harmony on "Boomerang Love" and "Carolina." I know I've said this before but she has one of the prettiest voices I have ever heard. If you're not familiar with her definately look her up online...I know she has one solo album and Clandestine, who were together for seven years, has several recordings). Joe Ebel, a masterful violinist plays on a few tracks, the song "Parsonage Lane" features cellist Ron Clearfield from the ASO, and Stuart Rhineheart, a cross between Ian Anderson and Wayne Shorter contributes some wonderful flute and soprano sax. The cover of "Parsonage Lane" will feature a special tribute to the JMDL...that's all I can say about it for now but look forward to a pleasant surprise...and there will be information forthcoming soon about preorders. Thanks for all of your support that has made this all possible! best, Victor
