Re Ruth's commnent on people not slamming Petty for criticizing the music scene (as they do JM for doing the same)....nor do they slam Costello (because he's a man?) or Madonna! Did ya'll see Madonna's comment last week? She said the very thing Joni said about her -- about "manufactured" acts with little/no talent, etc. It was too much.
