Heart and Mind incredible to me. Simply incredible. I have been doing docu-bios for sometime here, and doing them on my own. It was so good to see how it's really done. As for early footage WOWWWW. Just incredible. I was so appreciative of Holden and Flanagan, who imparted some very cool stuff as rock journalist from way back when. For me, it was so incredible to see all the early footage...the show really rooted there. There simply was not enough time to edit or tell her story in such a short run, but they did it as best they could. Editing is a real art in film work. I want so so much to do this type of film for Laura Nyro. I started a project right before she died. and just left it there, due to her departure. Now, inspired again. Meeting Larry and Kilarian, and floating meeting Joni, has to be one of my life's greatest moments...Larry is a spittin image of my brother...Kilarian thought she knew me, introed me to her adoptive mother. A lovely woman. Must be the Fran Liebowitz look a like...
