If you haven't gone to PBS.org and find the American Masters page to send
thanks to Susan Lacy for the broadcast or even American Century for
sponsoring the series(they won't send a broker to bother you,I promise),then
you aren't the fan I think you are.Minor points to ponder. Why no mention of
the Rolling Thunder Tour with Bob Dylan,no mention of Joni's Vietnam
protesting,barely a mention of the help Larry Klein gave her but now it's
blue book time. Question 1,If Joni was a rock star groupie,would she go after
Bon Jovi,BRUCE,Prince,Gordon Lightfoot in his healthier days or your choice.
Question 2 Now that the special is over and there is no sense of future Joni
projects other than an occasional gig like August at the Hollywood Bowl
backing Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter,what do you do with your life? a-get
one,b-who needs a life when you can just muse about Joni, c-Joni's birthday
present selection next November d-I'm going to Jonifest
Question 3 If Joni agreed to come over and chat,would you ask about her
a-lovers,b-early days on the road alone,c-the ache in not knowing her
daughter all those years,d-the heck with chitchat,baby,let's dance.
Question 4 If Joni was to paint her fantasy would it be a-mother and
daughter,b-Free Woman in Paris,c-a blank canvas because she is depressed
d-your choice.
