i finally got to watch it last night, from 1pm to 2:30 so i was sorta half asleep but this is the first broadcast i was able to catch (for those who tell me about vcrs, thanks i know, mine doesn't record)...it will be rebroadcast several more times (satellite) so i hope to be more awake next time...
my favorite interview was nash talking about watching joni write- how she was so oblivious to the world around her, channeling in his words...my favorite photo- the one of her with mingus- oh my god her simple, sophisticated beauty in that shot was breathtaking...the whole special was so poetic & i think so reflective of her artistic essence...my only regret is not having cohen mentioned or interviewed... kate www.katebennett.com
