I don't know anything about guitars. Really. I just
bought a Yamaha steel-string (my other is a classical;
I've had it 20 yrs but can't remember its name - it's
Japanese, but with a Spanish name, to make it sound
more authentic, I s'pose.) I bought this because I was
playing with it while waiting for my son at his guitar
lesson and I liked the way it sounded. I hadn't done
any research on it, so that makes me a bad consumer
and impulse buyer. So what.

I paid about $900 CDN before taxes, on sale
(supposedly it was $1500 before the sale, yeah, right,
whatever, but the guy I bought it from threw in a few
things free and I think he forgot to charge me for
something but I didn't notice right away).

Buy the one that's named after you. It's fate. It was
meant to be. And so on. Whenever I find one named
Catherine, I suppose I'll buy it too.

(I really just wanted to say - nice to hear from you
and I'm really looking forward to Stryngs' CDs being
available here in Northamerica. I'm impressed with the
samples I've heard.)
