I agree, these are among my most favorite albums of all time. It was years
later, when I was looking through a friend's Stevie Wonder songbook that I
was suprised at how some of the songs had lyrics that, without the music,
seemed so awkward. Maybe it is because the music was so extraordinary. It
was something I had never noticed in the context of hearing his music &
perhaps this is a testament to his incredible talent as a musician & singer
that he is able to meld all of these elements into some of the most
wonderful songs I have ever heard.
